Thank you so much for this Damilola. I had a real change of heart about this when I listened to podcast series by Andy Stanley titled ‘Christian’ – you can view it here http://northpoint.org/messages/christian/ .
It echoed most of the thoughts you raised here and for the first time it made be realise how far our faith is from what we profess it to be.
Thanks once again for this timely reminder, haven’t listened to the Kirk Franklin Album, but I guess I do not have a choice now. Stay safe.
Thanks James. Another song I love about this is Casting Crowns ‘The Altar and the Door’. It’s not just about getting excited on the altar or in the church. It’s about what happens after we leave the safety area of people who are also captured in that ecstasy of the moment. And it gets easy when we accept grace as an undeserved but freely given gift; when we stop pretending and start looking to God. When we understand that this grace is available to everyone as well. Plus. This is from Dare, Holluthare Fasure on Facebook. 🙂
